2020 Honda Passport Review
The Passport will provide all-around performance. Drive through slick rainy conditions, over the crunching snow, or smoothly cruise along the rocky trails in the 2020 Honda Passport.
It all starts with its 3.5L V6 engine that gives you the muscle needed to cruise up a hill or pass another car on the highway as it pushes out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
Its fully independent suspension helps it easily handle any bump in the road or rock along the trail. When winter hits, you can use Snow mode—part of the Intelligent Traction Management system—to give you the stability you need to confidently push forward. With all-wheel drive (AWD) models, this system also includes Mud and Sand modes.
Speaking of the available AWD system, it features torque vectoring, so the system can quickly react and keep you in control over wet roads or uneven terrain.
Ample Cargo Space
The interior of the Passport offers you plenty of room to pack up for a range of activities. When heading out on family vacation or if you’re going shopping, there’s 50.5 cubic feet of cargo volume behind both rows to utilize. Underneath that space, there’s also an additional underfloor storage area. This will let you keep certain useful items—like jumper cables and a first aid kit—in your vehicle, organized, and within reach.
If you need more space, the rear seatbacks fold down flat. With the back row folded down, the cargo space of the 2020 Passport increases to 100.7 cubic feet.
Beyond all that space inside the Honda Passport, you can bring along even more gear with you. It not only has the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds—enough for certain boats and campers—but it also has available roof rails. This means you can carry your kayak, bring your surfboard to the shore, or load up everyone’s skis on top of the Honda Passport when heading to the mountains for the weekend.
More Confidence Behind the Wheel
Wherever you’re traveling, the Honda Passport will be ready to take you there safely. That’s because it comes standard with Honda Sensing®, a suite of driver-assistive features. Part of this standard bundle of safety technologies includes:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System™: If this system senses a potential collision with the vehicle in front of you, it can automatically apply the brakes to help prevent it from happening.
- Road Departure Mitigation System: Providing steering assistance, this system will make sure you don’t drift too far to one side or the other.
- Adaptive Cruise Control: With this system, you can set a speed you’d like the Passport to maintain while it also keeps a safe following distance behind the car in front of you.
- Lane Keeping Assist System: Making your commute a little easier, this system will make small steering adjustments to keep you centered within your lane while cruising along the highway.
