Room for the Whole Family
The most important aspect of any three-row SUV is its interior space—and the 2019 Honda Pilot has plenty. It offers 152.9 cubic feet of passenger volume across its three rows of seats, which is significantly more than you’ll find in the Toyota Highlander. Plus, whoever’s sitting up front gets to enjoy over 40 inches of head- and legroom.
Eight seats come standard in the Pilot. Opting for a model with second-row captain’s chairs offers more comfort but reduces the seating capacity to seven. Meanwhile, available One-Touch Second-Row Seats make it easy to get to the third row: Simply push a button, and these seats move out of the way.

Considerable Cargo Space
- 16.5 cubic feet behind the third row of seats (all seats up)
- 46.8 cubic feet behind the second row of seats (third-row seats folded flat)
- 83.9 cubic feet behind the front seats (second- and third-row seats folded flat)
Plus, there are several seating configurations available depending on the size and shape of what you’re hauling. Need to transport a ladder or kayak? Fold down just the passenger-side seats to carry these long items. Carrying home a small piece of furniture? Fold down just the rear seats. For larger objects, fold down all seats except the front.
Versatile Connectivity Options
A wide variety of entertainment options are available in the 2019 Pilot, including a Rear Seat Entertainment system. Opt for this feature to get a 10.2-inch screen that folds down from the ceiling, optimally placed for second- and third-row occupants.
Integrate this system with the available 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot powered by AT&T, and you can stream media just like a smart TV. Select from a number of other connectivity options, like Blu-ray™, HDMI, USB, and more.
Models with this option also get CabinTalk™, which makes it easy to communicate across the generous cabin. When activated, the HandsFreeLink® microphone will pick up your voice and project it through either the rear speakers or wireless headphones.
Additional Interior Features
On top of the high-tech connectivity options, this SUV also offers other in-cabin conveniences for a more comfortable ride. This starts with how the Honda Pilot interior looks—it comes standard with gray cloth seats. Upgraded trims offer gray leather or gray perforated leather seats.
The driver’s seat is available with a 10-way power adjustment, which includes lumbar support. Generously sized armrests offer even more comfort for the front row.
Many features in the 2019 Pilot can be controlled with the push of a button. Push-button start comes standard, so you can keep the key in your pocket while you drive.
Certain models even allow you to switch gears by pressing a button, thanks to shift-by-wire technology. This gets rid of the gear shift, leaving you with more open space in the center console. More control is available via steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
